(3D) Machine Control

3D Machine control systems are used to increase productivity and improve the quality of finish grading. There are two basic types of machine control systems.

• Indicate systems, also called manual systems
• Automatic systems

An indicate machine control system provides the operator with visual grade information that he monitors and manually adjusts the elevation of the blade accordingly.

An automatic machine control system provides the operator with visual grade information and gives him the option of sending that information straight to the hydraulic system of the equipment, automatically maintaining the blade on-grade.
