Civilcad Training available
Following the recent opening of our purpose-built training room at our support centre in Mold, North Wales, we are pleased to offer Civilcad and Survey Instrument Training to all our customers. The published prices even include lunch!
Training Courses
Introductory Civilcad
This one day course is designed for new or relatively inexperienced Civilcad users. The course introduces the trainee to the main features of Civilcad’s Survey module, and provides the user with standard procedures to be followed when processing and plotting survey data.
Topics covered include Point Coding, Data Recorder and reduction using the Neutral Editor, Contouring, Text usage and definition. User defined line types and symbols, plotting and forms of data transfer.
Survey
This one day course is designed for existing users who have acquired a good knowledge of survey graphics, data entry, triangulation, contouring and survey plotting procedures within Civilcad 6.
The aim of the course is to enable the trainee to fully utilise Civilcad’s DTM creation and volumes options. The volumes part of the course concentrates on the different methods available, outlining their relative strengths and weaknesses in various situations. N.B. A prerequisite for this course is the Introductory Civilcad workshop.
Roads
This one day Roads course is an introductory level course designed for users who have little or no experience with Civilcad 5 or 6’s road design options. The course assumes that you have taken part in the Introductory ‘Civilcad course’ or operated Civilcad 6 to an advanced level prior to commencing this course.
The course covers all aspects of standard road design, from data entry, through to the design phase, plotting long and cross sections, and finally transferring data from the Roads module to the Survey module. A prerequisite for this course is the Survey workshop.
Advanced Roads
This is a one day workshop designed for users who are competent with the standard Civilcad 5 & 6 Road design functions and who require a better understanding of more complex tasks, which can be achieved within Civilcad.
The course expands on knowledge gained on completion of the ‘Roads’ course and whilst operating Civilcad 5 & 6 in the workplace, it covers Road reconstruction, Compound Batters, intersection design and advanced plotting procedures. A prerequisite for this course is the Roads workshop.
